These extended roof deck spans provide the uniform load capacity. Coefficients used to determine bending, shear, and end reactions are shown in our manual and in the Steel Deck Institute (SDI) specifications. Multiple spans are based on equal span lengths. For roof construction the user is cautioned to keep spans equal to or less than the recommended maximum span – which is based on SDI construction loading. In no case is the provided information meant to replace the calculations or judgement of the engineer of record. |
