1. Uncoilers
|
Two spindles make possible continuous operation when a new coil is started.

2. Coil Joining Press
|
Attaches beginning of new coil to end of preceding coil.
|

3. Entry End Accumulator
| The accumulator "stores" moving sheet while uncoilers are stopped to join each consecutive coil.
|
|
4. Pretreatment Section
| Surface treatment for good adhesion includes a combination of cleaning and clear-water rinses plus accurately metered chemical pre-treatments depending on substrate.
|
|
5. Coater
| Coatings are applied to both sides of strip with the use of urethane rollers.
|
|
6. Curing Oven
| Ambient temperatures up to 750ºF can be generated-temperature used depending on coating, metal thickness, and line speed- to effect a cure in 20 to 40 seconds.

|
7. Quench Station
| Cold water chills the coating before it comes in contact with rolls or bridles.
|
|
8. Exit-End
|
This unit "stores" metal strip to allow continuous operation while finished coil is being removed.
|
9. Inspection Station
| Strip is checked at this station for final quality.
|
|
10. Exit-End Recoiler
|
Finished coil ready for shipment or slitting to customer's request.
